Suspect Still at Large in Downed Pole Incident

Despite K-9 units and helicopter, Suffolk Police come up empty.

Police are still looking for the man who slammed into a utility pole at Hawkins Avenue and Division Road in Lake Ronkonkoma last Friday, knocking the pole down and causing power outages.

According to police the man took off on foot after the crash, which sent wires down at the intersection. The canine unit was called to search for the man, as well as a police helicopter. Area residents called police to say they spotted the man running through backyards.

Some residents, unaware of the crash, said they watched the helicopter nervously and guarded their doors.

The case is still actively under investigation.

I wonder how much the cops know. I know this guy and can tell you his wife has not been home with the exception on 1hr since this happened. They have a very young child together. Im guessing she is hiding him or hiding from him. The cops have been there a few times. Does anyone know the condition of the biker who was hit. I know for a fact this guy is quite the drinker, and him and the truck were completely illegal. Please help if you know anything
