Suffolk Police Looking for Robbery Suspects

Suffolk County is seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the persons who robbed Macy’s at the Smith Haven Mall.

On Jan. 26, 2011, at approximately 9:40 p.m., two black males entered Macy’s, located at 2 Smith Haven Mall, Lake Grove, and stole approximately $100 worth of clothing, according to police.

A security guard approached the subjects as they were attempting to exit the store. The subjects refused to give back the clothing, and one of them punched the guard in the face. Just outside the exit doors, the second subject pulled a knife on the guard. Both suspects fled in a blue BMW driven by a third unknown person.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
