Statement From Superintendent James Nolan On Newtown, Conn. Shooting

Sachem Superintendent expresses his grief over the mass shooting at a Connecticut school earlier today.

Superintendent James Nolan issued the following statement regarding today's tragic mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., where a gunman killed 20 children and six adults. The shooter is reported dead as well, but details of his death have not been confirmed.

The statement from Superintendent Nolan is as follows:

I know that I speak on behalf of the entire Sachem Family in offering our sincere condolences to the people in Connecticut. They are certainly in our thoughts and prayers. No words could possibly articulate or explain our thoughts and feelings for those poor folks. That is every parent's and community's greatest fear and no community is immune to such tragic horror.  I would ask everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
