Shed Fire Ignites Farmingville Backyard

Blaze is extinguished quickly in residential neighborhood.

A shed in the backyard of a Farmingville home caught fire Saturday night.

Captain David Smith of the Farmingville Fire Department said neighbors reported what they thought was a brush fire, but ultimately turned out to be a sided shed set ablaze off towards the rear of the home.

Smith said it was a relatively routine fire with no bells and whistles.
