SCPD Investigating Lake Grove Hit-and-Run
Offering up to $5,000 for information on incident.
Suffolk County Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Lake Grove.
On Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at approximately 1:40 a.m., a man standing in the turning lane on Middle Country Road at Hawkins Avenue was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
