Police: Sex Offender Living in Holbrook Failed to Report Change of Address

Robert Cesarski, whose last registered address is in St. James, faces a felony charge.

A registered sex offender was arrested Wednesday in Holbrook for failing to report a change of residence, police said. 

Robert Cesarski, 43, was arrested at 3:35 a.m. after police executed a search warrant at 336 Hauser Avenue. 

Cesarski, a Level 3 sex offender–considered to be the highest risk to repeat the offense–is charged with felony failure to report change of residence. Under New York Corrections Law, a Level 3 sex offender is required to report a change of address within 10 days.

Police tracked down Cesarski after a tip from Suffolk County Parents for Megan’s Law triggered an investigation by detectives of the Suffolk County Police Special Victims Section.

Cesarski's last registered address on the New York State Sex Offender Registry is 13 Plane Tree Lane in St. James.

Cesarski was convicted in 2009 of second degree sexual abuse: sexual contact with a person less than 14 years old. Cesarski was sentenced to six years probation.
