Suffolk County police are seeking two individuals for leavingĀ a multi-vehicle crash in Holtsville on Sept. 11 that has left a 53-year old Farmingville woman in serious condition.

According to police, a group of motorcyclists were riding northbound on Nicolls Road near the Long Island Expressway when one of them collided with a coach bus at 9:58 p.m. Police say a 2010 Toyota then struck a 2004 BMW, which subsequently struck a 2003 Pontiac that had stopped to help the motorist.

Police say the 53-year-old Farmingville woman is the driver of the BMW, and following the crash she was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she is listed in serious condition. Police did not identify the woman.

The driver of the coach bus pulled over a short distance away from the crash, and detectives are seeking the driver and bus company representatives for reporting purposes. The motorcyclist fled the scene, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls are being kept confidential.

What is it with these motorcycle drivers One cut me off the other day and was on the right side of the road If they don't know the right of way or how to operate them they should not be driving them many people are seriously hurt sad to say. Maybe they should be tested every few years to see if they can drive the bike carefully. I respect everyone on the road but when they blatently cut you off, that is dangerous big time. Hope they get them probably some kid that just got the bike and was trying to impress no drive safe that is the key to driving a motorcycle Sorry but there is enough problems in the world and then we have this to add to it. Just saying Janet Russell
