Police Seeking Two For Leaving Holtsville Crash

53-year-old Farmingville woman remains in serious condition from Sept. 11 Nicolls Road crash, police said.

Suffolk County police are seeking two individuals for leaving a multi-vehicle crash in Holtsville on Sept. 11 that has left a 53-year old Farmingville woman in serious condition.

According to police, a group of motorcyclists were riding northbound on Nicolls Road near the Long Island Expressway when one of them collided with a coach bus at 9:58 p.m. Police say a 2010 Toyota then struck a 2004 BMW, which subsequently struck a 2003 Pontiac that had stopped to help the motorist.

Police say the 53-year-old Farmingville woman is the driver of the BMW, and following the crash she was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she is listed in serious condition. Police did not identify the woman.

The driver of the coach bus pulled over a short distance away from the crash, and detectives are seeking the driver and bus company representatives for reporting purposes. The motorcyclist fled the scene, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls are being kept confidential.
