Police Searching for Farmingville Tire Slasher

Roughly 50 cars slashed in apparent late night rampage.

Suffolk County Police are investigating a multiple criminal mischief incident in which a number of cars had their tires slashed in Farmingville early Saturday morning. 

According to police, between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. approximately 50 cars were slashed, victimizing residents on Roberta Avenue, College Hills Drive, Arlene Street, Hillside Road and Waverly Avenue. In some cases more than one tire was slashed on the vehicle, but police say the perpetrator(s) didn't steal anything from the cars.

Detectives are searching for any eye witnesses to the crime and reviewing surveillance video provided by homeowners along those streets to help in their investigation.
