$2K being offered for information that leads to arrest.

There is a $2,000 reward being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the individual responsible for stealing a wheelchair from a U.S. Army veteran from Holbrook.

Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the person(s) responsible for the theft of a wheelchair from an injured veteran’s residence located on Mollie Boulevard in Holbrook.

On Thursday, January 19, 2012, between 5:00 and 5:45 PM, Christopher Levi’s wheelchair was stolen from outside the home. The wheelchair was described as blue with a large embroidered Purple Heart, a United States Army seal and military stickers. Levi lost both legs in a roadside bomb blast in Iraq in March 2008 when he served in the United States Army. The wheelchair was specially made for Levi at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
