Police Save Man Who Accidentally Cut Himself in Holbook

Two police officers applied a tourniquet to a man who accidentally cut himself in Holbrook this morning.

Suffolk County police saved a man who accidentally cut himself in Holbrook this morning.

At around 11 a.m., a 33-year-old Brentwood man was working outside on Flintridge Drive when he accidentally cut his forearm with a utility knife. Fifth Precinct officers Eric DiPrima and David Kolesar responded and applied a tourniquet to quell the heavy bleeding.

Holbrook Fire Department members took the victim to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
