Police ask for public's help to track down robber.

Suffolk County Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate the man pictured above who is wanted in connection with two bank robberies, including one in Farmingville earlier this month.

The photo above was captured during a robbery of the West Islip People's United Bank, located inside a Stop & Shop supermarket, last Friday. A week earlier, on Aug. 2, the People's United Bank on North Ocean Avenue in Farmingville, also located inside a Stop & Shop, was robbed in a similar manner.

The robber is described as a white male, between 30-40 years old, about 5-foot-10 with a thin to medium build. The man had a fair complexion, red hair and a goatee at the time of the robberies.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information regarding the robberies is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
