Police: Man Steals Games, Throws Them at Employee

Farmingville Kmart shoplifter throws video games and DVD at employee who confronts him, police said.

A man steals video games and a DVD from the Farmingville Kmart on Dec. 19, but throws the items at an employee who confronts him outside the store Suffolk County Police said Tuesday.

According to police, the man left the 2280 North Ocean Ave. store with three Xbox 360 games and a DVD, all unpurchased, at approximately 5:20 p.m. After throwing the items at the employee, police say he fled the parking lot in a blue sedan.

Police are now asking the public for help in finding the man, who is wanted for petit larceny. 

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls are being kept confidential.
