Police: Lake Ronkonkoma Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

Man charged with four bank robberies at three banks, police said.

A Deer Park man has been arrested and charged with allegedly committing four bank robberies at three banks, one of which is the Lake Ronkonkoma TD Bank location on Nov. 10.

According to Suffolk County Police police in a Thursday announcement, Edward Waller, 42, has been arrested and will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip. Waller was arrested Wednesday at 12:21 p.m. after being located by detectives driving in Park Avenue in West Babylon and was arrested without incident, police said.

Waller has been charged with three counts of robbery in the first degree and one count of robbery in the third degree.

Police say that Waller is also involved in the robberies of TD Bank in North Babylon on Oct. 27, and New York Commercial Bank in Deer Park on Sept. 5 and Oct. 11.
