Police: Man Robs Farmingville Teachers Federal Credit Union

A man robbed the Farmingville Teachers Federal Credit Union Monday afternoon, police said. 

According to police, a man entered the bank at 2410 North Ocean Avenue around 3:40 p.m., approached a teller and produced a note demanding cash.

The teller gave the man an unspecified amount of cash and the robber fled on foot, police said.  

The robber is described as a white male with a thin-build, between 30 and 35 years old and between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10. He had a goatee and was wearing tan-colored pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery, police said.

Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating and police are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
