Police: Holbrook Woman Drowns in Backyard Pool
Karen Gabrielsen, 50, is found dead Saturday night, police say.
Police are investigating the death of a Holbrook woman who drowned Saturday night in her backyard pool.
Fifth Precinct officers responded to 1882 Railroad Avenue at 9:33 p.m. after a 911 call reporting that a woman was found unresponsive in a pool at the residence, police said.

Upon arrival, police and members of the Holbrook Fire Department Rescue Squad found Karen Gabrielsen, 50, unconscious and not breathing.

Gabrielsen was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone with any information to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
