Police: Holbrook Man Arrested for Road Rage Incident

After dispute in Lake Ronkonkoma, police say man hit pedestrian with his vehicle and fled scene.

A Holbrook man was arrested after an investigation revealed he hit a pedestrian with his vehicle following a road rage incident, according to Suffolk County Police.

Joseph Alfeo, 34, of Holbrook, got into a roadside dispute with a pedestrian on Holbrook Road in Lake Ronkonkoma on August 20, police said.

Following the dispute, Alfeo struck the pedestrian with his vehicle and fled the scene, police said. The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Following a lengthy investigation by Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers, Alfeo, was arrested Wednesday at the Sixth Precinct.

According to police, he was charged with third degree assault and leaving the scene of an accident with injury.

His vehicle, a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V, was also impounded.

Alfeo was released on bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 22.
