Police Confirm Body Found in Medford is Missing Mom

The body of Sarah Goode was found in the woods Thursday evening, police say.

The body found in the woods in Medford Thursday evening has been confirmed to be that of Sarah P. Goode, the 21-year-old Medford mother who was reported missing earlier this week, police said Saturday.

Police said a 911 call came in at 6:17 p.m. Thursday from someone who was part of a group consisting of 40-45 people searching for Goode. The 911 caller "found the body in a thickly wooded area" on Camden Court, police said.

Goode’s car, a gray 1999 BMW Model 328i, was found on Fire Avenue in Medford, close to where her body was found, on Sunday "under suspicious circumstances," police have said. There were signs of a physical struggle inside the car, according to the NY Post.

Goode, who has a 4-year-old daughter, watched a movie on TV with friends Friday night, but she hadn't been seen or heard from since.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing to investigate. No arrests have been made.

An online fundraiser to collect money for Goode's funeral expenses and to help support her daughter Jocelyn has already raised nearly $30,000.
