Police Chase Ends in Holtsville
Drunk diver flees for 11 miles, stops at Ecology Center.
A police chase ended in Holtsville Sunday night.
What started as a fleeing of the police in Port Jefferson Station, ended badly for Robert Schuch, 50, of Port Jefferson Station, in the Sachem community.
He unlawfully fled and was driving drunk. Suffolk County Police initially tried to pull him over near Patchogue Road and Route 347 for a traffic violation, but he drove off.

Police said the chase lasted about 11 miles and ended at the gates of the Holtsville Ecology Center. Schuch was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Monday.
