Police: Arrest Made in Robbery of Lake Ronkonkoma Bank

Conrad Kennebrew, 27, is charged with robbing TD Bank on Portion Road in June.

A Westbury man was arrested Wednesday and charged with the June robbery of the TD Bank in Lake Ronkonkoma, Suffolk Police said.

Conrad Kennebrew, 27, was already in prison after being arrested last month by Nassau Police for allegedly robbing another TD Bank branch in Westbury.

Kennebrew is charged with third degree robbery in the Lake Ronkonkoma robbery. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip Wednesday. He is being held on $25,000 bail.

Police say Kennebrew entered the TD Bank on Portion Road shortly before 7 p.m. on June 8 "and handed a teller a plastic bag while announcing a robbery and demanding cash," police said.

The teller complied and gave the man cash from the drawer.

Kennebrew is no stranger to the legal system. As an 18-year-old in 2003, he was arrested for stealing a car and hitting a gas station attendant in the face with a dumbbell.
