Police: 81-Year-Old Dehydrated Driver Crashes Car With 2 Kids Inside

No injuries reported in crash in Farmingville Tuesday afternoon, police say.

An 81-year-old woman became dehydrated and lost control of her car in Farmingville Tuesday afternoon, police said. 

The car jumped a curb, hit a street sign and then a parked car on Waverly Avenue at Clarkson Drive at about 3:28 p.m., police said. 

There were two children, ages 4 and 10, in the vehicle at the time, police said. 

No one was injured in the crash, but all three were transported to Stony Brook Hospital. The woman was treated for dehydration and the children went to get checked out, police said.
