An unidentified man was struck and killed by a car early Saturday evening in Ronkonkoma.
According to police, the man was hit on Ronkonkoma Avenue south of the Long Island Expressway South Service Road just after 5 p.m. The man was struck by a 1999 Infiniti, which was later impounded for safety checks.
The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452.
