Suffolk County Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Holbrook Saturday morning.
Jose Santos was driving a 2008 Nissan west on Veterans Memorial Highway when he struck a pedestrian, Patrick McCourt, who was walking in the roadway at 5:30 a.m. McCort was then struck by a 2001 Ford, driven by Mehmet Altun, police said.
According to police, McCourt, 22, of Huntington, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
Santos, 33, of Patchogue, and Altun, 34, of Shirley, were not injured.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
