Nesconset Man Shatters Teen's Knee with Snowmobile During Blizzard

Driver realized it was kid after seeing report on television.

A Nesconset man turned himself in recently after hitting a teen with his snowmobile during last weekend's blizzard.

Louis Clark, 40, said he was watching a televised news report on Dec. 31 regarding the teen who was injured by a snowmobile in Nesconset and realized he was in that area riding a snow mobile and may have been involved, police officials said.

The teen, who is a minor,  was hit and shattered his knee after being struck on Browns Road in Lake Grove around 8 p.m.

Clark was charged with criminal negligence assault in third degree. He was issued a field appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear on Feb. 28, 2011.
