Man Robs Farmingville TD Bank

Police on the hunt for robber who fled bank with cash Friday morning.

The TD Bank on Horseblock Road in Farmingville was robbed Friday morning, police said.

Police said a man entered the bank at 11:20 a.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding cash. The teller complied and the man fled on foot and headed west through the bank's parking lot, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 35 years old, unshaven, approximately 6-foot to 6-foot-2, with a medium build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, dark sunglasses and a navy blue New York Yankees jacket.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.

The TD Bank in Lake Ronkonkoma was robbed in June. A Westbury man was charged in that robbery.

me thinks it is just a matter of time before this guy gets busted, as that is a very distinct and clear picture of him. if i ever had the cojones to rob a bank, no one would ever find me because i would wear so many accessories to disguise myself. in this day and age, how could someone be so STUPID to think they can just walk intoa bank and rob it, without donning sufficient items to cover up your facial feathures????

\this bank was robbed before not that long ago, you'd think they'd have better security by now.

What kind of security would you suggest that would prevent a robbery??

A zero budget is not even necessary for this tremendous problem. Even with the 3.14 budget, thisRead More scenario exists. The classes will be in the thirties next year in the secondary schools. I heard the classes will have at least 35 kids in them next year because of all of the teacher excessing. It would be even worse if there is a zero budget, but the problem already exists.
Jen Jones June 18, 2013 at 04:12 pm
It's very possible Mark, and you're right, it's already a problem because of the cuts made to get toRead More this tax cap budget. It will be a complete disaster if the budget fails.

Shameful Remarks....
Voice Of Reason June 18, 2013 at 03:30 pm
Wrong JP, people like Mrs. Kohlmann make this country and people like yourself just take. That'sRead More what is shameful!

My kids do not have Mr. Hinkaty, but I know his name well from many others. He is a favorite ofRead More many, many students. I hope for the sake of Sachem something changes over the summer and they can find a way to keep him here. Whatever district ends up with that teacher will find that they have struck gold. We wish you the best, Mr. Hinkaty. I hope we can keep you here!
