UPDATE: Lake Grove Man Killed in Hit-and-Run
Accident occurred in front of 7-Eleven on Middle Country Road, near Hawkins Avenue.
Update: Brian T. Bianchi, 49, of St. Nicholas Avenue in Lake Grove, has been identified as the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Lake Grove early Sunday, according to police.
The investigation is continuing.

A man was standing in the turning lane on Middle Country Road at Hawkins Avenue at 1:40 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene, Suffolk County Police said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The victim is described as a white man, between 30 and 40 years old and was wearing a Luxorbaseball hat and shorts.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash or have information about the identity of the victim to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
