Man Airlifted After Motorcycle Crash in Holtsville
FD utilizes open field on North Ocean Avenue to transport victim.
A man was airlifted after a motorcycle accident in Holtsville Saturday afternoon.
A 1999 Dodge pickup truck was travelling westbound on Long Island Avenue, just west of North Ocean Avenue, and made a left in front of a 1985 Harley Davidson motorcycle travelling eastbound on LIA around 4:24 p.m.
They collided causing non-life threatening injuries to the motorcyclist.

The airlift took place a quarter-mile north in an open field in the New York State Department of Transportation facility on CR-83.
The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Medical Center.

As of Saturday evening there were no tickets or anyone arrested, according to Suffolk County Police.
