Indictment For Alleged Drunk Driver Involved In Fatal Holbrook Crash

Judge to unseal indictment in Riverhead tomorrow.

A Centereach man accused of drunk driving in a fatal accident last May on the LIE service road in Holbrook will be indicted before a grand jury tomorrow.

Prosecutors say James O'Donnell, 47, was drunk when he plowed his Mercury Marquis into Kristen Iacono's Lincoln on the westbound North Service Road on May 23. Iacono, 26, was rushed to the hospital, but died from her injuries the next day. O'Donnell was uninjured in the crash.

O'Donnell is sitting in Suffolk County Jail in Riverhead in lieu of $100,000 bail. Judge John Toomey will preside over the indictment at 9:30 a.m. Patch will have more on this story as it unfolds.
