The Farmingville Fire Department is handing out ice to residents still in need Thursday afternoon after Hurricane Irene, according to fire commissioner Bob Wallace.

New York State Assemblyman Dean Murray is on-hand at Farmingville headquarters at 780 Horseblock Rd. helping with distribution.

Wallace said they had between 800 and 1,200 pounds of ice available in the garage in the back of the main fire house.
