Holbrook Man Involved in Patchogue Crash
Manorville man injured in crash that took place near Gateway Plaza.
A Holbrook man was involved in a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Patchogue last evening, according to police.
Thomas Lee was pushing a shopping cart near the intersection of Waverly Avenue and Gateway Boulevard in Patchogue when he was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet, driven by John Babino, 41, of Holbrook, police said.
Lee, 46, of Manorville, was transported by ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Center in East Patchogue where he is being treated for head trauma and is listed in critical condition.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
