Man Stabbed in Farmingville

Medford resident stabbed near Super Stop and Shop on North Ocean Avenue.

A Medford resident was stabbed in Farmingville early Thursday morning, February 4.

Raymundo Lopez-Marquez and Hector Cruz-Reyes were involved in an altercation on Horseblock Road, west of North Ocean Avenue, when Lopez-Marquez stabbed Cruz-Reyes in the abdomen and arm at 7:45 a.m., according to Suffolk County Police.

Both men ran to the parking lot of the Super Stop and Shop, located at 2350 North Ocean Ave., and police were called.

Cruz-Reyes, 25, of Medford, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was listed in stable condition, police said. Lopez-Marquez, 28, was charged with second degree assault and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on February 5.
