Gun, Cash Reported Stolen in Burglaries

Nearly $5,000 in cash stolen from a house on Flamingo Avenue.

East Hampton Town police reported the following incident reports for the week of Dec. 31.

• A burglary where a large amount of cash stolen was reported on Flamingo Avenue in Montauk the day after Christmas. According to a police report, $5,000 in cash, a Social Security card, one white gold diamond pendant, worth $350, and a $500 Amex gift card were stolen between Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 9 a.m.

• Police released a burglary report filed on Nov. 25 this week involving a stolen shotgun. A 12-gauge Mossberg pump-action shotgun with a pistol grip in its case was taken from a Morris Park Lane house in East Hampton sometime after Nov. 17. A box of shotgun shells was also reported stolen. Police said there were no signs of forced entry. The total value of the stolen goods was reportedly nearly $500.

• A customer reported a pair of prescription glasses missing from Bass Outlet Shoes in the Amagansett Square on Dec. 27. According to the police report, the customer left the glasses on the counter.
