Fire Tears Through Sheds in Nesconset

No injuries reported in blaze on Tulip Street Friday afternoon.

Multiple fire departments are currently on the scene of a shed fire in Nesconset.

The fire tore through four sheds full of woodworking materials next to a home on Tulip Street, said John Martins, 3rd assistant chief with the Nesconset Fire Department.

The blaze was reported around 1:30 p.m. The sheds were "fully involved in fire" when firefighters arrived, Martins said, but as of 2:15 p.m., the fire was largely extinguished with just a few hot-spots firefighters were dousing with water.
