Multiple fire departments are currently on the scene of a shed fire in Nesconset.
The fire tore through four sheds full of woodworking materials next to a home on Tulip Street, said John Martins, 3rd assistant chief with the Nesconset Fire Department.
The blaze was reported around 1:30 p.m. The sheds were "fully involved in fire" when firefighters arrived, Martins said, but as of 2:15 p.m., the fire was largely extinguished with just a few hot-spots firefighters were dousing with water.
The fire did not spread to the home on the property and no injuries have been reported. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
The Ronkonkoma, Smithtown and Lakeland fire departments were also called in to help knock down the flames.
