Fire Damages Restaurant At Farmingville Amphitheater

Early morning blaze causes "considerable damage" to Cody's Restaurant.

Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of an early morning fire that damaged the seasonal restaurant located on the grounds of the Pennysaver Amphitheater on Bald Hill in Farmingville.

According to a report from the Town of Brookhaven, which owns the land and the damaged building that houses Cody's Restaurant, a town employee discovered the blaze at around 3:46 a.m. today and called the fire department.

Volunteers from the Farmingville, Ronkonkoma, Holtsville, Selden and Medford departments responded to the scene and extinguished the flames. Cody's Restaurant is run by Long Island Events, which leases the building from Brookhaven Town. The restaurant is closed for the season and there were no reported injuries.
