Farmingville FD Volunteers Honored

Long time service of members recognized at annual installation dinner.

Suffolk County Legis. Tom Muratore, R-Ronkonkoma, recently attended the Farmingville Fire Department’s Installation Dinner, held at the Atlantis Aquarium in Riverhead.

Muratore joined other elected officials in honoring outgoing Chief Edward Stewart III. Ex-Chief Michael Rocco and ex-Captain Richard Boris were also recognized for 50 years of service to the department. To acknowledge these men for their dedication, Muratore presented them with Certificates of Appreciation.

“I‘d like to express my gratitude to the Farmingville Fire Department,” said Muratore. “These brave men and women volunteer their time and risk their own personal safety to protect our community. It is important to acknowledge such dedication and commitment, especially those who have served over 50 years."
