A Patchogue man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an occupied home burglary in Garden City last month, according to Garden City detectives. A joint investigation by Garden City and Nassau County detectives led them to Luis Lucero-Corte, 42, who was arrested at his home and charged with burglary and possession of a forged Social Security card.

At 1:20 a.m. Oct. 21, police say a Garden City resident awoke to Lucero-Corte inside her bedroom. He fled the house with no reported proceeds, according to the police report.

It is unknown at this time why Lucero-Corte targeted the residence, Garden City police commissioner Kenneth Jackson said.

Police: Two Steal Giants Jersey From Medford Entertainment Center

A man and woman seen entering the Medford location of Boomers Family Entertainment Center are suspected of allegedly stealing an Eli Manning Giants jersey from a display case, Suffolk County police said in a Thursday announcement.

According to police the jersey, which was on display as a game prize and valued at $300, was stolen on Sept. 27 at around 9:15 p.m. from the 655 Long Island Ave. facility.

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspected man and woman, and have included surveillance photos of the suspects which are in the media gallery of this post.

Teen Facing Felony Charge for Tweeting Terrorist Threat

Patch has learned that the Twitter post dating to November 4 stated a shooting would occur at Smithtown West boys soccer team game against Central Islip in the finals of the Suffolk Class AA championship scheduled to be played 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Dowling College.

Burglars Hit 4 West Islip Homes Within a Two-Day Timeframe

Burglars broke into four West Islip homes at the end of October, within a two-day time frame, and two of the homes share the same street and were hit the same day, according to police reports.

Police Seek Serial Robber in Jamba Juice Hold-Up

An armed robbery that took place Monday evening at Jamba Juice in Stony Brook is being investigated by Suffolk County detectives as part of a series of armed robberies that have occurred throughout Suffolk County since the end of October. The robberies have occurred at seven gas stations located in Eastport, Calverton, Mastic, North Babylon, St. James, Dix Hills and Bohemia as well as the Stony Brook Jamba Juice. No one was injured during any of the robberies.
