Suffolk Police are investigating a possible hate crime that involved graffiti at a Sayville town park. A swastika and an image representing a pentagram were discovered drawn at Foster Avenue park area on September 25.

Armed Robber Strikes Mt. Sinai Subway
Police are searching for a man who robbed the Mt. Sinai Subway last Thursday night. Police say the unknown man entered the sandwich shop, located in the Mt. Sinai Shopping Center at 5507 Nesconset Highway, at 9:35 p.m. and displayed a firearm in his waistband. The man threatened an employee with the weapon and demanded money, police said.

Police said Gail Pfleiderer, 39, broke into a home on Rosewood Road on Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. Police charged Pfleiderer with second-degree burglary, a felony.
