Crime Report: Woman Protests Parking Fee With Fists

A look at recent crime in Holtsville.

The following information was culled from the Suffolk County Police Department’s automated reporting and arrest database.

Holtsville

  • Police responded to the Holtsville Ecology Center on August 15 after it was reported to 911 that an irate female subject had become violent. According to police the incident took place on August 15 at around 9:15 a.m. when a woman, reportedly upset with the parking fee imposed at the Holtsville center, began punching the windows of the ticket booth and threatening the female employee inside. No damage was done to the booth and the employee was not harmed. There were no arrests made in the case.
  • Police responded to a criminal mischief call on August 18 at around 5:30 p.m. According to police an unknown subject drove their vehicle on to the fields of the PAL Complex and did damage to the property. No arrests have been made.
  • Police responded to a criminal mischief call on August 13. According to police an unknown subject used a marker and drew X shaped markings on three windows at the LifeStar Ambulance company on Blue Point Road. The call came in at around 12 noon. No arrests have been made. 
  • There were no reported arrests for serious offenses in Holtsville this week.
