Crime Report: Violent Boyfriend, Stolen Vehicle

A look at the past week's police incidents and arrests for Farmingville.

The following incidents and arrests were culled from the Suffolk County Police Department's media page.

Farmingville

  • Police responded to a call for grand larceny on Basswood Lane on March 11 at around 10 p.m. According to the complaint description items were stolen from a vehicle at the location.
  • Police arrived at a business on North Ocean Avenue where an adult male subject was being detained for shoplifting on March 9 at around 2:40 p.m.
  • Police answered a call for harassment on Waverly Avenue on March 8 at around 5 p.m. According to the complaint description a violent male subject punched his girlfriend. There were no weapons reported to police at the time of the call.
  • Police responded to a grand larceny call on North Ocean Avenue on March 5 at around 10:30 p.m. According to the complaint a 2008 Ford Explorer was reported stolen.
  • There were no arrests for serious offenses in Farmingville this week.
