Crime Report: Spitting Mad, Racist Ranting

A list of incidents and arrests in Holtsville and Ronkonkoma last week as reported by Suffolk Police.

The following information is directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's media incidents list .

Holtsville

  •  Police responded to a grand larceny call on Peachtree Court on January 30 at around midnight. According to the call description jewelry had been stolen from the residence, possibly by a known subject.
  • Police answered a call for a possible burglary attempt on Jamaica Avenue on January 26 at around midnight. According to the complaint report damage had been done to a rear door on a residence.
  • Joseph Sicilian, of Holtsville, was arrested in Farmingville on February 3 for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of marijuana.
  • Amber Funaro, of Holtsville, was arrested in Central Islip on February 3 for criminal possession of stolen property worth greater than $1,000.

  • Police responded to a dispute between neighbors on Harvey Lane on February 2 at around 11:30 a.m. According to the call description one neighbor allegedly spit on the other.
  • Police responded to a grand larceny call on Portion Road on January 31 at around 5:30 p.m. According to the call the passenger side window of a vehicle was broken and items were stolen from the vehicle.
  • Police answered a call for a burglary on Pamlico Drive on January 30 shortly after midnight. According to the complaint a subject in a Nissan had entered a home through the sliding glass doors.
  • Police answered a call for harassment at a business on Portion Road on January 29 at around 6:45 p.m. According to the complaint an irate customer was harassing a manager at the business with racial slurs.
  • Police responded to a criminal mischief complaint at the McDonald's on Portion Road on January 28 at around 3 p.m. According to the call description, damage had been done to one of the doors at the restaurant by an unknown subject.
  • Ryan Redican, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Copaigue on January 29 for possession of a hypodermic instrument and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • Dominick Vario, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Copaigue on January 29 for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
