Crime Report: Shoplifter, Home Burglary

A look at the past week's police incidents and arrests for Farmingville.

The following incidents and arrests were culled from the Suffolk County Police Department's media page.

Farmingville

  • Police responded to a criminal mischief call on Carlisle Drive on April 9 at around 12 p.m. According to the description the complainant was arguing with his son and had left the phone line open.
  • Police responded to a petit larceny call on April 9 on North Ocean Avenue at around 4:30. According to the complaint description, the complainant was holding the accused adult male at the scene.
  • Police answered a criminal mischief call on Abner Drive on April 5 at around 1 a.m. No further information is provided.
  • Police responded to a criminal mischief call to a vehicle on Wendy Drive on April 5 at around 2 a.m.
  • Police answered a call for burglary on April 3 on Hettys Path at around 10:30 a.m. According to the complaint the house that was burglarized had been empty since around 9 a.m.
  • Lauren Kasky, of Farmingville, was arrested on April 5 for multiple counts of 2nd-degree forgery of an official document.
  • Thomas Sipley of Farmingville was arrested in Wyandanch on April 5 for 1st-degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
