Crime Report: Bad Neighbors, Burglary Arrests in Ronkonkoma

A list of incidents and arrests in Holtsville and Ronkonkoma last week as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information is directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's media incidents list .

Holtsville

  • An incident of grand larceny took place on Blue Point Road on October 14 at around 11 a.m. According to the report a truck was at the location possibly stealing construction material.
  • Police answered a call for petit larceny at a Brookhaven Town complex on Canine Road on October 14 at around 11:15 a.m.
  • On October 11 police answered a call for criminal mischief on Corporate Drive at around 10 p.m.
  • Police responded to a call for criminal mischief after receiving a complaint that a neighbor's daughter on Plad Boulevard tried to break into her home. The call came in around 8 a.m. on October 10.
  • Also on October 10 a wallet was allegedly stolen from the 7-Eleven on Waverly Avenue at around 12 noon.

Ronkonkoma

  • Police responded to a domestic harassment incident on October 5 on Veterans Memorial Highway at around 6:30 p.m.
  • An incident of harassment also took place on October 9 on Express Drive South at around 11 p.m. According to the complainant, a known female was harassing her at a local gas station.
  • Some tires were slashed on a vehicle on Motor Parkway on October 7. Police responded to the criminal mischief complaint at around 4 p.m.
  • Danny Nieves, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on October 15 for 3rd-degree burglary; illegal entry. 
  • James Ryan, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on October 15 for 3rd-degree burglary; illegal entry.
  • Peter Lore Jr., of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on October 15 for 3rd-degree burglary; illegal entry.
  • Nicholas Strom, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on October 15 for DWI with a prior conviction within the last 10 years.
  • Christine Esposito, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on October 13 for DWI with a prior conviction within the last 10 years.
