Crime Report: Angry Texting, Raging Wife

A look at the past week's police incidents and arrests for Ronkonkoma.

The following incidents and arrests were culled from the Suffolk County Police Department's media page.

Ronkonkoma

  • Police responded to an aggravated harassment call on Cherokee Street on March 5 at around 9:30 p.m. According to the complaint description, a person was making threats via text message to the complainant.
  • Police answered a call for aggravated harassment on Locust Avenue on March 3 at around 2:15 a.m. According to the description a subject was making threats toward the complainant.
  • Police responded to a burglary on Veteran's Highway on March 2 at around 6:45 p.m. According to the complaint a wallet was stolen from a hotel room at the location.
  • Police answered a harassment call on Lake Terrace Road on March 1 at around 2 a.m. According to the complaint description a violent wife was smashing things and attempting to cut the complainant.
  • Lawrence Johnson Jr., of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Deer Park on March 4 for assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon after police say he allegedly struck three victims with a moving vehicle, sending all three to Stony Brook University Medical Center. One of the victims suffered a broken leg.
