Crime Report: Angry Phone Calls, Give Me A Brick

A list of incidents and arrests in Holbrook and Farmingville last week as reported by Suffolk County Police.

The following information is directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's media incidents list .

Holbrook

  • Police responded to an aggravated harassment call on Birchdale Drive on January 20 after a woman complained of threatening phone calls from an unknown phone at around 2:30 p.m.
  • It was anything but placid on Placid Court on January 20 as police responded to a dispute between a violent boyfriend and his girlfriend. According to the complaint, the boyfriend has been taking anti-smoking medication.
  • Police responded to a grand larceny on Pauline Street on January 17. According to the complaint, a vehicle was broken into at around 6:30 p.m.
  • Police answered a call for criminal mischief on Maple Avenue on January 18. According to the complaint, at around 9:15 p.m., a vehicle drove past the location and threw a brick through the complainant's vehicle window.
  • Police responded to an aggravated harassment call on Tarkington Drive on January 16. According to the complaint, at around 1 p.m., and unknown male kept calling the complainant and making threats.
  • Police responded to an aggravated harassment call on Broadway Avenue on January 16 at around 2 p.m. According to the complainant, a manager of a business there, a known customer made repeated threatening phone calls to the establishment.
  • There were no arrests for serious offenses in Holbrook this week.

Farmingville

  • Police responded to a dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend on Granny Road on January 21 at around 11:15 p.m. According to the complaint, the boyfriend had assualted his girlfriend.
  • Police answered a call for a potential burglary on Hettys Path on January 19. Police investigated the call at around 3 p.m.
  • There were no arrests for serious charges in Farmingville this week.
