Chase Bank Robbed in Farmingville

Man slipped teller note demanding cash and threatened with use of a gun.

A Farmingville bank was robbed Monday, February 1.

A man entered Chase Bank at 2306 North Ocean Ave., and approached at teller at 3:47 p.m. with a note demanding cash and threatening violence if the teller did not comply with the robber's demands, according to a statement from Suffolk County Police. The man made several motions to his waist, where he displayed a gun. The teller complied with the robber's demands and gave him cash from the drawer. The man left the bank and was last seen running south in the parking lot.

The robber is described as a male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black winter jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask, yellow-lens ski goggles and light brown leather gloves.
