Army Sergeant Charged With Murder of Ronkonkoma Vet Ryan Dickinson
Shooting took place following an argument at a barbecue, according to report.
An active-duty Army sergeant has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Ronkonkoma native Ryan Dickinson last Sunday, according to a Newsday report.
Newsday reported that witnesses saw Sgt. Brett Wessel shoot Dickinson, 26, a retired Army sergeant who served in Iraq for 15 months, following an argument at a barbecue at Texas military post.
Wessel, 26, of Kansas, has been charged with murder and assault with intent to commit murder.
Dickinson graduated from Connetquot High School in 2005 and was married with children.
