Armed Robber Strikes Ronkonkoma Subway
Sandwich shop on Portion Road was held up Sunday night.
An armed man robbed the Ronkonkoma Subway on Sunday night, police said.
The robbery was reported at 7:30 p.m. at the store located at 600 Portion Road.
Police said a man entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. An employee gave him cash from the drawer, police said.
The Hess gas station down the road at 440 Portion Road was also robbed by an armed man in a similar matter last Thursday at 11 p.m., police said.
The Subway robbery comes less than 24 hours since an armed man robbed another Subway store in Patchogue.
No arrests have been made in any of the robberies.
