Repair, Rebuild, Prepare with the Long Island Builders Institute

The Long Island Builders Institute presents Superstorm Resource Expo for Sandy victims.

Repair. Rebuild. Prepare.

Long Island Builders Institute (LIBI) is a non-profit organization that strives to make, “Long Island a better place to live and work”.   Since it was founded in 1941, LIBI has been advocating responsible building and remodeling while providing beneficial business and consumer opportunities.

LIBI is an association of dedicated building industry professionals whose members have built most of the “5,000 or more homes produced on Long Island each year,” an impressive statistic.

Today, it’s all about who you know, and the most important business technique is networking.  LIBI members are given the opportunity to network with other members of the trade, and as a result, can learn and exchange helpful information.

One of the largest networking opportunities provided by LIBI is the annual LIBI Associates Trade Show.  Each year, the show is held for the trade only, allowing them to market their products and services to all builders and contractors on Long Island.  This year, however, LIBI is trying something a little different.

In response to the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, The Long Island Builders Institute presents, “Superstorm Resource Expo” which is now open to the public as well as the trade.  Consumers have the opportunity to meet hundreds of local experts who will answer questions and provide the advice needed in moving forward.

For more information regarding the show, which will be held on Wednesday, March 20th, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Long Island in Hauppauge, visit http://www.libi.org or “Superstorm Resource Expo” at Facebook.com.

Also, be sure to stay in the loop as LIBI provides you with weekly tips and advice to help repair, rebuild, and prepare your home, right here on Patch!
