Talk Back: Too Provacative For High School?

Minnesota HS principal's position on leggings sparks debate over school dress codes.

Minnetonka High Schook Principal Dave Adney has grabbed headlines lately with a controversial email he sent to parents in his district asking that female students in his school do a better job covering up their bottoms when they wear leggings.

Apparently Adney has been seeing a trend among high school girls wearing shorter blouses that don't adequately cover up the backside and he went on the radio to defend his position, saying the decrease in the imagination is "distracting to a wide variety of boys and girls in school."

"Cover your butts up -- I'm just going to say it straight up," Adney told the local Star Tribune. "We're seeing too much."

Both supporters and critics of Adney have flocked to the social media world and to national outlets reporting on the story to voice their opinion. We'd like to know what the Sachem community thinks.

Are girls dressing too provacatively for school these days? Is a principal overstepping his bounds by sending an email to parents? Let us know in the comments box below.
