Talk Back: Labor Day Plans?
With summer season closing out this weekend, how does the Sachem community plan to ready for fall?
Labor Day Weekend is always considered the unofficial end of summer. Though the summer doesn't technically end until Sept. 21, Labor Day is when the Hamptons empties out, when the pools get covered, when the school year kicks in.
It used to be the last weekend it was socially acceptable to wear white as well.
However you wish to look at it, it's the last hurrah, the final three day weekend before "holiday season." So Patch is asking you: how do you spend this final weekend of summer? One more blowout party in the back yard? Or a quiet weekend to cleanse and get ready for fall?
