Sound Off: Black Friday Hours

Stores begin revealing hours for biggest shopping day of the year; will you be among the masses?

Black Friday, here we come...

Macy's announced Monday that it will open its more than 800 stores at midnight on the day after Thanksgiving for the first time ever, according to a report in The Huffington Post.

Target and Kohl's will also open at midnight on Nov. 25 for those shoppers who value a great deal over a night's sleep.

Oh, you say midnight isn't early enough? You want to run out to the store still covered in gravy and on a turkey high?

Well, then the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park are for you. Stores there open at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving in what is being billed as its Moonlight Madness Sale.

We want to hear from you. Will you be out at shopping at midnight on Black Friday? Will you wait until the crowds die down later in the day? Or will you stay home snuggled in a blanket to avoid the madness? Vote in the poll below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

No worries! The choices do you get you thinking. I like in the story you wrote "You want to run out to the store still covered in gravy and on a turkey high?" That was funny! Great visual! Some people do that! I am not really a black Friday shopper because I don't like getting up for 4 am openings. Midnight seems reasonable if the offer is a good one.

I wish that Thanksgiving could be celebrated and enjoyed first. . What about the families of those that have to work and have no choice at these stores? Family first. It is part of what is wrong with this society. Would love to get back the day of stores closed on Sunday...Family Day!!!!

I plan on maybe shopping black friday, only cuz i need another bathing suit or 2 before i leave for vacation very early saturday morning, and due to procrastination i really have no choice.... The last time I did black friday, i was trying for a $200 laptop and i was about 30th or so on line at best buy until an hour before doors were supposed to open and everyone just ran like mad people... No more line.... Then they yelled at everyone (very nastily) to get back in line, but nobody was listening.. Finally, we all get back in line, and I'm at the very back, and lost my spot... Now there's about 200 people in front of me... Finally they start handing out the tickets to get the items.... They had 5, thats right FIVE tix for that computer.... What a joke!!! Oh and this was after camping out all night in the rain, when I had work that day in less than 2 hours after i got home.... never again!!!! If i go this year for the bathing suits it will definitely be later in the afternoon since im not fighting for any big ticket item anyway...
